Helping Hands At Schools
Several schools are benefiting from the free scheme available at United Press. The company offers a service producing free poetry books featuring the work of school pupils.
"Our main aim in offering this service is to encourage young people to be more involved in poetry," said Lynda Brennan of United Press. "Many schools have taken up the offer recently and we are working on books for them. We ask them to supply poems written by the children at the school and we put them into a book and give the school 50 free copies, which they distribute to the young poets themselves."
Poets under 16 can also take advantage of the other free book service available from United Press. The company produces anthologies, featuring the work of poets from across the UK. Poets under 16 invited to be included in these anthologies receive one free copy. You can telephone us for details on 0844 800 9177.
