"I am 49 years old and live in Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds, England. I was born in Halifax in West Yorkshire and lived there for 22 years before moving to the Cotswolds in 1983 where I live in a ground floor maisonette with my dog, chinchillas, hamster and gerbils!

I attended a Church of England Primary School and had a fantastic English teacher who inspired my love of poetry and prose. This continued at Grammar School in Brighouse where I had another great English teacher. Since living here I have attended a couple of writing courses where I was able to practice different techniques, pick up tips and have my work critiqued. Latterly entering my poems in Poetry competitions with United Press and then having the joy of some of them being published in their books has proved enormously encouraging.

I love writing both poetry and prose and try to tackle a variety of subjects and use different styles of writing. As my poetry indicates I love animals and the countryside and have a strong Christian faith. I hope this selection of poems brings pleasure to my readers."
