"I first started writing at secondary school and was lucky enough to have one of my pieces televised on the Anglia programme 'Folio'. Pressures of college, career and family meant I didn't write much during my twenties but I rediscovered the enjoyment about six or seven years ago.

There was obviously the period of very naive material which I prefer not to talk about, but more recently I have been heartened to receive good feedback from United Press and have had a number of pieces published in compilation works.

I am a traditionalist and have been brought up in a world of folk music and Morris dance, custom and ritual, and now most of my work is based on Pagan rites and mythology, historical legend and the natural world.

I love the seasons, the changing world and the celebrations which accompany each period. The year is peppered with festivals and rituals, each having its own unique feeling or flavour, colours, scents and sounds and it is these things which fire my imagination and the driving force behind my writing.

Whilst multicultural beliefs are important and should be advertised I believe there is too little done to protect and preserve the indigenous beliefs and customs of our own country so I am proud to do my bit in what little way I can."
