"I was born July 1956, at Stow Hall Maternity Home, Stow Bardolph, a small rural village near Downham Market in Norfolk. Leaving school at the age of 15, I then spent many years working as a care worker with the physically disabled, they are both inspirational and courageous. As part of my work I went to Cambridge and qualified as a Residential Social Worker, this obviously widend the country girls horizons.

I've been living in Northamptonshire, for the past 21 years and enjoy travelling even if it's only back to Norfolk, to see my family. My partner and I enjoy holidays in the sun. My hobbies are diverse, I enjoy woodturning, genealogy, computing, photography, writing poetry and in my spare time housework!

The inspiration for my poetry comes from my life experiences, people, places and situations all have an impact. Let’s say I was a late developer and it's only recently I have had the confidence to try and get my work published.

I am unable to work anymore but try to keep active as far as possible. Having a positive attitude to life helps."
