"My name is Chris, I live in Surrey, have two sons and work in Facilities Management, I had an average education, not excelling in anything, but found that practical subjects were more my forte. I did however pass "O level" English, but certainly didn't show any signs of interest or capacity for writing poetry, that is why it came as a shock to me that poetry started to come into my mind, and what's more to go down on paper.

Anyway it all came about through a wonderful friend I met about six years ago, her friendship inspired me to start writing poems and even songs, I used to read my poems to her and found out that she also wrote, we got on very well with our love of words and music.

When I was satisfied that nothing I wrote about our friendship upset her, the flood gates opened and I haven't stopped writing since. These poems tell a little of the story of our friendship, I of course thank her so much for her inspiration, and not least of all the help that she gave me through a difficult time in my life, naturally I dedicate this book to her."
