Profile

"I was born in Surrey in the late 1950's, and educated in London and Kent.

I have always had a thirst for knowledge and one of my great passions is History.

Poetry has always been a major resource for History buffs; it has and still does, give so much information about that time in History.

My father would tell me stories of Nordic Sagas he was taught at school, such as Beowulf and his adventures, this being written in old Anglo-Saxon verse.

Whilst as a child watching Jason and the Argonauts every Christmas on the television, I became interested in Greek Mythology, such as the Iliad by Homer.

Not only have I been influenced by Nordic Sagas and Greek Mythology,
But, whilst reading numerous other Poets works over the years, my influence has been varied, with such Poets as Rupert Brooke, W.H.Davies, W.H.Audin and later Poets such as Spike Milligan.

Also, Lyrics to a song can also be extremely Poetic when written by a great Lyricist."
