"I was a radiographer by profession but have been retired for a number of years now. I am married to a radiologist and have four children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One of the things that I always promised myself I would do when I retired, was to take up creative writing but never quite 'got round to it' until my neighbour, Olive, persuaded me to join a group at our local library. She has been a great encouragement to me over the last three years.

My life is quite full with my family, of whom my husband and I are justifiably proud, and interests at our local Methodist church. For at least 25 years now I have been involved with fund-raising for Action for Children (previously NCH) and also have a large family of house plants in our conservatory, which require constant nurturing.

As is obvious from some of my poems, we are avid cruisers, and have been privileged to visit some most fascinating and interesting parts of the world. We have decided that we should also now start to explore our own beautiful countryside, which I am sure will give me inspiration to write some more poetry."
