"My name is Janine Cross, I was born and raised in Rochdale, England and have lived here with my family all my life. I live with my wonderful partner of 3 years, my two children and my two step-children.

I am a very creative person and I am passionate about my writing and being able to express myself with the written word. I started writing when I was 14 years old and my first poem published was ‘An Individual' in A Promise of Eternity. Since then I have written things from poetry to children's short stories and am currently working on a book about the life of my Grand dad as he recently passed away.

My biggest inspiration is the feelings we gain through emotion as we go through life. The selection of poetry I have included in this book tells my journey through life and some of the experiences I have been through so far. I believe that the best memories in life are gained from time spent together with family and loved ones. Currently I only write as a hobby but one day hope to be a serious author and fulfil my dream of writing children's stories."
