"I was brought up on a south London council estate. I have had a variety of jobs over the years, including gardener, accountant, book dealer and painter and decorator.

My life has basically been a learning process, learning not to be a delinquent, how to treat people right, and how to be myself. I consider myself to be a writer/musician. This is what I am rather than who I am.
It has made for a few problems, and interesting situations, over the years, finding this out. And I probably won't ever finish."
