Profile

"Much of my life has been spent doing care work in one form or another. I trained as a Nursery Nurse during my late teens. This involved working in residential orphanages and caring for the unwanted and under-priviledged children of the 1950's. After marriage, we soon managed to produce five youngsters of our own.

I continued to do quite a lot of care work while we were raising our family. As they grew up and away, I went to work in a school. This involved introducing physically disabled children into mainstream education. The work was very rewarding to me personally.

I have always been a poet and gained much personal joy through this medium of expression. To be able to touch others through ‘written pictures' is a great feeling. I did one creative writing course through evening classes locally, and another through The London School of Writing. This was a home tutorship course.

I have never been a high earner money wise, this has never bothered me. Work satisfaction is far more important. I like dogs and small animals. Another passion of mine is gardening. I feel this too is very important, if we wish to save our beautiful planet for our children and the lives of future generations."
