"I was born in Halifax, Yorkshire and moved to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire when I was a year old.

I have always enjoyed writing and had my first poem published in a comic when I was nine years old. I didn't write for several years until eight years ago when I wrote about 200 poems for my own pleasure, mostly humorous ones about everyday life. I had a couple published in the local paper which were advertising for poems at that time.

I am an animal lover and enjoy travelling abroad and meeting people. I have a busy lifestyle and work full time as a Support Worker for vulnerable adults. I enjoy writing whenever I get the opportunity.

In November 2009 I 'picked up the pen' again, and since then I have written approximately another 200 poems. I prefer to write humorous rhyming ones but have also written personal ones for family and friends and some serious and different style ones, haiku, senryu, essence, tanka, which I have won three competitions for.

I have been published in seven anthologies in the past year and am delighted to present my first book. I hope to write many more."
