Submit A Poem Online

We want to read your poetry. Send us something now, and if we are interested, we will get back to you with details of the competitions we run, such as the National Poetry Anthology. These competitions are free to enter and you could win £1,000 cash. You cannot enter the National Poetry Anthology or any of our other competitions on-line, but filling in the form and sending us your poem is the first step to having your poetry accepted by United Press.

All you have to do is type your poem into the form provided on this page. ALL submissions which exceed the stated limits (see below) will be rejected without being read.

The subject of your poem is entirely your choice. Each household and/or poet may submit only one entry, to which no changes can be made after submission. The entry must have a title, contain no more than 160 words and be no more than 20 lines long.

It must be the original work of one poet and he or she must submit it themselves. You cannot submit work for someone else. You cannot submit work that you have already submitted to us for a current, or previous book or competition.

By filling in this form you confirm that the poem you submit is your own original work.

Please note that sections in RED are mandatory
