We are giving away 6 chances to have your work published in this exciting competition. As well as publication of your work, you will also win 25 copies of the book - and a national title. It’s a great prize and all 6 winners will, no doubt, be absolutely delighted when they see their work in print in a perfect bound book with a full colour cover. There are 6 different categories in the competition, so at least one category (and maybe more) will suit your style of writing.
We will pick one winner in each category, publish them in Writers Of The Year - and give each winner 25 copies and a framed certificate awarding them the title Writer Of The Year, for their category. We will arrange for all winners to be interviewed by the press (unless winners prefer no publicity). The book will be priced at £9.99 so your prize will be worth almost £250 in books alone.
We are looking for stories on themes of childhood memories, general fiction, true life, and stories for children. We are also running two sections for long poems. This means that poems which you couldn’t submit to us previously will be eligible for this competition. Because we want to limit this competition to those who are serious writers, we are charging a reading fee of £9.99 per entry, but you can submit as many stories or poems as you like for each category (although you must pay the £9.99 fee for each one) and you can enter as many categories as you like.
